The incident led to the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
